Who we are

According to recent estimates from Census.gov, only 19.4% of those individuals over the age of 25 in Boyd County, Kentucky have a college degree. While that number is due in part to college graduates choosing not to return to the area following school, it is also a by-product of a population lacking the financial means to pursue higher education.

Our Foundation is made up of a group of Josh’s family and friends who continue to be inspired by the way he lived his life. From helping his mother in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) nursery to his time working for the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation and Camp Kentahten, Josh was happiest when he was making an impact in the lives of children. The Foundation seeks to continue Josh’s legacy by awarding scholarships to high school graduates in the Ashland area and donating to local causes committed to investing in the community’s youth.
